Comments Off

Howard Berger Co., in consultation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a voluntary recall of Indoor and Outdoor Extension Cords and Power Strips.

The extension cords and power strips have inadequate coating material around the cords and copper conductors that are smaller than required, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

To date, no injuries or incidents have been reported in connection with this recall.

The recall involves the following products:

Brightway Heavy Duty Outdoor Extension Cords [Model Numbers R2600 through R2615]

Brightway Indoor Extension Cords [Model Numbers EE6 through EE20] and Power Strips [Model Number MP6DG].

The recalled extension cords and power strips should not be used and returned to the place of purchase for a refund, credit or replacement. The recalled products can be returned without a receipt.
